Accounting function

The accounting function of Interreg programmes covers the processes of involved in the payment processes of programmes, as well as the wider tasks to audit and certify payments.

Where to start

Programmes are required to set out how they will approach the accounting function and which body shall be appointed to do so. The full scope of the roles and responsibilities are set out in the description of management and control systems.

What we are working on

An exchange between Bodies performing the accounting function is planned in an event, which will also include the closure of 2014-2020 with Certifying Authorities. 

The novelties in Accounts in 2021-2027 will also be the topic of a session at the Interreg Knowledge Fair 2024.
